The Fast and The Furious: Toyko Drift

This movie was pretty cheesy. Not as good as the first one, and I don't even remember the second one to compare. It was entertaining enough to watch, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless they really liked cars or the other Fast and the Furious movies. It did have a nice cameo of Vin Diesel at the end, which maybe made it worth watching. :)

We watched this one last Thursday. I think it's definitely worth watching once, but it's not one I'd buy or watch again. The reason is because it's kind of painful to watch. It's not your usual Adam Sandler comedy. It's kind of dark and depressing in parts. I thought it had a really good message to it, though. Not really what I was expecting when I told Troy to rent this one, but that's what I came away with. It made me want to spend more time with my family, which is always a good thing.

Template

To avoid any confusion, and because I know people read and ponder my blog for hours, this template that I currently have is new. It's not the aforementioned too bright template. I guess I'll stick with this for awhile before I go searching for something else.

Hmm . . .

I'm not loving the colors of this layout. And I'm not sure I like the three column thing either. But it took me forever to set it up, and now I don't want all that time to be wasted. These are the problems that vex me in life. And there are no easy solutions. What does one do? One doesn't know.

Editing to add: Okay, so I changed it, but now I'm still not sure I like it. It seems a little too bright, making it hard to read. One of these days I just need to figure out how to design my own template completely, and then I can make one I really like.

Knowing God

Troy and I went to the home group at the pastors home tonight. We're reading the book Knowing God 101, which is absolutely awesome. It's easily becoming one of my very favorite books. It was so nice to have Troy be able to go with me this time. Tonight was the second time we've had Kaitlyn watch the kids, and she does great. I can't believe I have a daughter old enough to babysit! Although we wouldn't let her watch other kids at this age, she does really well with Ethan and Kevin.

Anyway, it was a great night. Life is going so wonderful for us right now!

Important Questions Answered

I had a conversation with Kevin today that went like this:
Kevin: "I know where Jesus is."
Me: "Where?" (at this point, I fully expected him to say Heaven)
Kevin: "In his house."
Me: "Where's his house?"
Kevin: "At the North Pole."
Me: "The North Pole?"
Kevin: "Yeah, by Santa's house."
Me: "I think Jesus is in Heaven.
Kevin: "Yeah, I saw him there."
Me: "What was he doing?"
Kevin: "They were fixing birdhouses."

So there you have it. If you ever wonder where Jesus is, and what he's doing, just ask your kids. I bet they'll have an answer.

Today we mourn the death of . . .

Yesterday Kevin pulled out the only plant in my flower garden that I really care about. It was so pretty, and now it's dead! Dead, I say! Here's a picture of the beautiful, beautiful plant.

And here we have evidence of the deadness of the plant. Look at it just lying there with it's lifeless eyes. Now I have to try to figure out what it is, and go buy more.
